On April 20th, DMB will release two limited edition items for Record Store Day. The first is a 4xlp of Live Trax 1. Each copy is pressed on blue vinyl and individually numbered out of 500. DMB's latest studio effort hits store shelves today. Along with the release of the new album come new promotional items. There is a Mercy / Gaucho 7" vinyl as well as a Mercy CD single. The CD single is particularly notable because no photos of U.S. Big Whiskey singles ever surfaced. As of this writing, there is no international release of the new album. All copies are US, RCA Records editions. Over the next few weeks and months, more promos are sure to surface. So keep your eyes peeled and feel free to share your photos and information on our message board. |

With the DMB tour in full gear, news about the band's forthcoming album is starting to trickle in. The band has announced the yet to be titled album, will be released in September. No specific release date has been confirmed. At this time, the titles of three tracks are known: Mercy, Sweet, and Gaucho. All three are being performed this tour with Mercy being played at almost every show. The band has made the studio version of Gaucho available for download via their website: davematthewsband.com. Those who have heard the album confirm that it is comprised of 11 tracks and lasts about 55 minutes. The final track is 9:55 in length and has been likened to a 'Pink Floyd' epic. In addition to the tracks already mentioned, the band has been performing another new song titled "If Only." It's likely that this song is also on the new album. We'll update as soon as more information is available. |
